My mom was given a lung cancer diagnosis when she was alone. Pat came in, sat with her, called my sister and me, gave us guidance, strength and compassion. She stayed late, checked on us when she wasn't assigned to us, and helped us with discharge. She shared her experiences and was so compassionate. She made us feel prepared during this awful time.
