Patty was nominated by a patient's family member for taking the time to provide a manicure to their loved one. Patty wrapped the patient's hands in warm, wet towels, soaked them in soapy water and filed her nails. This patient had a lengthy stay, was critically ill and this was her first good day. Patty shared with the family that "when a patient looks better, they will feel better". Patty is also one of the best at starting IVs. She is frequently called by all departments for hard sticks. Patty is always looking for special ways to do something extra for our patients.
