I have known and worked with Patricia for over 16 years at SE MH and even other hospitals in the city in the capacity of a charge/dialysis nurse as well as a clinical manager of dialysis here, since 2018. I have found Patricia to be a kind, caring and loving person, a thoughtful, empathetic, and compassionate nurse, and a highly organized, fair, and motivated leader. She has repeatedly, and time and time again demonstrated these virtues in many situations over the years. Not a single week goes by when she doesn’t bring goodies, food, and snacks for the team to make them feel valued and cared for. During several hurricanes over the years, she has always been quick to anticipate power outages in the city and developed for the staff to work in 12-24 hour shifts so that patient care never got compromised. She always placed herself first on the roster to do the night duty and volunteered to stay late so that her staff got a well-deserved rest. She is always the first to lend a helping hand in case anyone needs any help.
