I am 36 years old and I was recently diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer. On my very first visit to the Breast Center, I met Pat. The devastation that hit my family when we received the news was indescribable. From the beginning, Pat stepped in and helped to guide me and my family through this daunting process. She sat with us while we shed tears, and was there to explain in great detail the road ahead. She went out of her way to schedule appointments for multiple doctor's visits, always doing so with a warm heart. I could not imagine going through this without her by my side. Words cannot describe my gratitude for her and her team. She was always there to receive my calls and emails. Pat has a wealth of knowledge that surpassed my greatest expectation. While I was in treatment, she was able to help me through many financial struggles by providing grants and food gift cards through various programs. Just to know that someone cares, is often times, more than enough to keep living. I am forever grateful for the woman and friend that I found in her.
