Patricia Santiago has made such a positive and lasting impact on my experience as a nursing student. She has an incredible ability to educate without ever making you feel dumb or out of place, which made such a difference in my confidence during clinical. No matter the situation, she created a safe and supportive environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and truly learning.

She is patient, approachable, and genuinely cares about her peers' growth. She doesn’t just teach us what to do; she makes sure we understand why we’re doing it, which has helped me develop critical thinking skills that I will carry into my nursing career. Because of her, I feel more confident, capable, and excited about becoming a nurse. She truly embodies what a great nurse and educator should be, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of recognition.

Patricia truly embodies what it means to be a compassionate and dedicated nurse. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her patients receive not only proper care, but also kindness, respect, and understanding. What stands out most is her empathy. She takes time to listen to her patients, comfort them, and make sure they feel heard. She never treats them as just a task, but as individuals who deserve dignity and genuine care.

She also models excellent nursing practice by advocating for her patients and encouraging us as students to think critically and always prioritize safety and quality care. Through her actions, she shows us what patient-centered care really looks like. She has a huge impact on my growth as a nursing student, teaching me not just skills, but the importance of compassion and advocacy in nursing.

Thank you, Patricia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
