I am a nurse myself, so to be on the other side as a patient is never easy. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks and was very disappointed. Everything moved quickly and I had a D&E right after my doctor's appointment. Pat Shultz was my nurse and she was very comforting. She sat down the whole time she was talking to me. She was very caring and gentle, without trying to say all the "perfect" things. When you are in that situation you do not want to hear all the cliches anyway. She took great care of me. I hope that I can make my patients feel as comforted as she did to me.
