Anytime you are not feeling well and in need of medical attention, you feel anxious. The anxiety is only magnified when you think you may have the virus that has caused a pandemic. That is what one Brazos Valley resident faced as he fell ill following a trip in early March of 2020. When he arrived for his appointment with his primary care doctor, this patient was greeted by a nurse in full PPE. Luckily for him, behind the mask and face shield was a smiling face. The patient and his wife were familiar with this nurse; they considered her part of their family. In fact, she had seen the couple through everything from cancer to COVID-19. They describe her as a "very special individual, full of faithfulness and God's Love".
It comes as no surprise to those that work closely with Patricia Sperow, LVN that she has handled the pressures of the COVID-19 crisis with grace. She has graciously transitioned to a new role where she is continuing to care for patients daily. Patricia does everything in stride and never loses sight of why she became a nurse in the first place - to care for others.
