Patty has a passion for DEI and is actively involved in DEI within the School of Nursing through her work on committees charged to advance voice and equity. Her role as Specialty Lead for Community Health Nursing focuses on health disparities in underserved populations. She works with students to recognize the impact of social determinants of health as it relates to health equity on a local, state, and nationwide level. She has been inspiring as an Inclusive Teaching Liaison, and in her promotion of the 20-21 Common Read project.
