From the moment I was admitted, Tisha was overwhelmingly compassionate, caring and absolutely hilarious. What an amazing personality. She immediately recognized that I was in severe pain and she had to get an IV in me. But, my veins were so small and I was so dehydrated, she knew it would be difficult (one arm was not usable due to track marks and veins collapsed from the previous hospital). She took a warm cloth and rubbed it along my arm and hand for a bit, all while telling me funny stories about her family. When I opened my eyes, she had the IV in and I never even felt it. I had also told her that I hadn't been able to shower/bathe in 5 days due to the illness, so she immediately got the shower ready and helped me get all cleaned up. She continually kept checking on me and kept my husband and me updated on everything. I truly felt loved by her. She made a very scary and painful experience much less scary and definitely helped with pain management. What an asset to the Cleveland Clinic to have someone like her on staff.
