Patrick Connolly, RN

I want to nominate Nurse Patrick for the DAISY Award for the amazing care he's given my father, a 59-year-old Asian man dealing with uncontrollable diabetes and a serious bloodstream infection. Patrick has been such a comfort to my dad, especially when it comes to things that could feel uncomfortable, like giving injections in his abdomen. As a fellow male, Patrick helped my dad feel less self-conscious and more at ease, which meant a lot to us. Beyond that, Patrick’s bedside manner is outstanding. He takes the time to really talk with my dad and make sure he understands what’s going on. I’ve also seen him hustling to help other patients on the floor, always responding quickly and making sure everyone’s needs are met. Knowing that someone is as caring and attentive as Patrick is looking after my dad gives me real peace of mind. He truly deserves this recognition for the kindness, respect, and professionalism he brings to his work every day.
