Patrick Fiegen, BSN, RN
Patrick spent the time needed to explain all that was going on in R’s care plan. He was very helpful with future possible needs in case of heart problems re-occurring and what to do.
Patrick also introduced himself to our son and granddaughter.

Our three-year-old daughter had been hospitalized and in the PICU for about 3 days. On Friday, Patrick was our nurse. In the morning, when I arrived, I knew instantly we were in great hands with Patrick. We found out that morning that she would need a procedure that could be difficult and traumatizing for a child.
From the very beginning, Patrick was there to ease our minds and reassure us that this was necessary for her healing and that he would do everything in his power to make it as minimally traumatic as possible. The way he interacted with our daughter, we could tell she immediately trusted him. As parents, we knew we could trust him, too. With every question we had throughout the day, Patrick would explain his answers thoroughly, always facing us attentively. I happened to also be eight days postpartum and feeling anxious about the day. His care for our daughter was so above, and beyond that, I actually felt calm and at ease all day.
As a nurse who occasionally works adjacent to Patrick, I know we are not the only family and patients who feel this way. He deserves a DAISY every day!
