I was a patient having colon resection surgery at TGH and was admitted to my room early in the morning. I met Patrick at the change of shift and my first thought was that I did not want a male nurse, but I was so wrong.

Patrick was so kind, caring, and patient. He was responsive to my every need and request. He was professional and always explained what he was doing and why. He even walked me around the unit several times to help with my mobility and pain. I have had many hospitalizations, but my experience with Patrick as my nurse has stood out among all the rest. He made my time at TGH a good one.

Patrick was always friendly and cheerful, asking how my pain was and sometimes checking on me just as he walked by in between other patients. Patrick always listened and was gentle in his duties. He exhibited a great deal of knowledge, and I was always at ease. He is a great communicator as well as a great medical professional.

Patrick is extremely kind, professional, and efficient. He constantly helped whenever I needed anything. He also offered coffee or tea to my husband when he was here. He kept in contact with my doctors to clarify orders. He is an asset to your team and has made my stay a pleasant one.
