Patrick Luby, RN
Patrick received my mom out of surgery at 11 a.m., and he worked so hard and got her off the breathing machine. She was off the breathing machine in two hours, which was amazing.
Patrick was also so attentive to every second of her care. He answered all our million questions and literally stayed in the room his whole 12-hour shift. He was actually very attentive to the whole family. He is smart and paid attention to detail.
By 3 pm, he had my mom out of bed into a chair. Five hours after open-heart surgery.
Patrick is an exemplary nurse, and I know my mom will have a better outcome because of his diligent care.
One other outstanding detail they paid attention to was that we told him our mom would be mortified if people saw her without her dentures in, and he made sure to get her teeth in as soon as the breathing machine was removed.
His care was extraordinary, and we are forever grateful.
