June 2015 Honoree
patrick molloy, RN, BSN, CCRN
Although many nurses provided care to our brother when he was a patient a short time ago, one nurse stood out for the compassionate care he provided, as well as the meaningful connection made with us, he helped us through the critical phase of this illness. Patrick Molloy was the first nurse to be there when my brother was admitted in critical condition to the surgical intensive care unit. Patrick was the most attentive nurse I have ever encountered. Not only did he take care of my brother, but he also helped me and my family. He taught us and gave us information that would help us understand everything that was happening to our brother. Though the doctors kept telling us that his condition was most likely fatal, Patrick never gave up on him and continued to provide the most attentive care that he could. I have never had as much respect for someone as a person and a nurse. Hospitals would be a much more comfortable, supportive, and hopeful place for all of us if every Registered Nurse was like Patrick Molloy.
Thank you, Patrick, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
