I arrived septic with infection. While here they accidentally found that I had a 85% blockage in 3 arteries. Coming to TCU was confusing. I still had a double ear infection, uncontrolled sugar and went through a stress test, and then a heart cath. Patrick was so gentle and mindful of my utter panic. With my ever changing meds he was meticulous and explained each one. He made me comfortable in all ways! The night they said I would undergo a triple bypass, he was there when I completely broke down. His manners, his patience, his knowledge, and his humanity had me at a loss of words. Patrick touched me more than any other nurse or doctor at Audubon. He even came to see me when he worked on another unit. His capacity for true compassion made the terrible time a bit less overwhelming.
