August 2011 Honoree
patsy terry, RN
“Patsy works in the Holding Room and readies patients for Surgery. She does things and wants things right all the time. She is thorough and takes initiative to fix things that she sees need fixing--from forms, to policies, to processes.
The Holding Room can be a stressful place for families and she does her best to provide a safe calming environment. Patsy is quite talented as a crocheter. She shares her talent freely and was once a member of a group called "Project Linus".
When that organization disbanded, she wanted to continue to have blankets for our pediatric surgery patients, so she came up with the idea of "Covered in Love.” Marketing and Surgery UPC supported the idea and kicked off collecting blankets.”

Thank you, Patsy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
