I would like to nominate nurse Patti Geary at the Cancer Center. She was extremely attentive to me. I had a very serious reaction to a medicine during my treatment. Patti took this emergency very seriously and went above and beyond and personally took me to the Emergency Room. She recognized my reaction and was very compassionate and caring toward me during this difficult time. She made sure all my personal belongings were safe while in the Emergency Room. She didn’t have to do that, but that is the type of nurse she is. She made me feel at ease and comfortable, and I always felt in good hands at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She explained everything to me in terms that I would understand while at the same time showing how much she cares. She even followed up with me to see how I was after my emergency. I still remember her and how smoothly she helped me transition to the ER. She made a positive impact in my hospital stay, and I feel she truly deserves the DAISY Award and what it represents. She is a great nurse. Thank you.
