Patti Null had a patient who was going to the OR urgently, but had requested a Chaplain prior to going. Due to the urgency of needing to get to the OR, there was no time to wait for the Chaplain. Patti volunteered to take on the task. Patti did not hesitate; she stepped up to the plate and prayed for him, out loud, in front on numerous staff members including surgeons. Following the patient's recovery, he wrote to Patti. He stated that he was doing well and he felt that it was directly due to her prayer for him.
Patti is Honored due to this display of compassion, making a significant difference in a patient's life, making a patient feel secure and listening with her heart.
