Patty was present for a birth alert in the ED. Unfortunately, the baby did not survive. Patty was excellent with the mother and the family. She took the time to bathe, get footprints, dress and assist mom with holding her baby and taking pictures. She made sure the mother was able to spend time with her infant.
Patty also assisted the ED staff with the necessary paperwork. During this time, she became concerned about the mother's heavy bleeding and alerted the physicians and the ED nurses.
Patty truly demonstrated Swanson's Caring model when working with this mother and her family as well as the staff. Patty works tirelessly to ensure that excellent customer service is ALWAYS given to her patients and their families. She is truly deserving of this award.
