My sister had a bilateral mastectomy. She has a low pain tolerance and high anxiety. When my sister arrived to her room, Patty was calm and caring, but most importantly in control which is what my sister needed. My sister's cane was lost during surgery. Also, she was in a lot of pain and started losing too much blood and developed a hematoma which Patty was checking and monitoring every 20 minutes and immediately called the doctor. My sister needed another surgery. She was in a panic pained state and Patty was the caring calm control compassionate competent nurse she needed and we as a family needed. Also, she was able to make sure the cane was located!
