I want to give a big pat on the back to Paul Haines for ensuring our patients' and families' safety yesterday during the flash flooding. We saw the water pressure actually get high enough under this cover to push it off. It is a pretty big hole. As soon as it seemed safe to go down Paul went and lifted the heavy cover back over the hole to prevent someone from stepping off the sidewalk and into it or a smaller car ruining a tire or rim hitting it. Many people saw it and didn't want to go out to put it on and we saw multiple people drive by and not stop. We appreciate him looking out for the safety and welfare of everyone.
