Paul was nominated by his manager for connecting with a patient and helping facilitate his recovery. The patient was having trouble coping after a stroke and was hesitant to participate in care or work with therapists. Paul sat with the patient and helped him talk through his feelings and frustrations. Eventually, the patient became more receptive to therapy and developed a much more positive outlook.
