September 2023 Honoree
Paul Moore, RN
In all of the time I have spent in hospitals, Paul will be the most memorable Nurse, because he truly made me feel like he cared about me - even when I felt like I was alone and no one cared. Even when his shifts were done for the week, he would tell me, “I never want to see you again - except at the grocery store” - and I truly hope that I am around long enough to run into him to say thank you, once again.
***
Paul went above and beyond for my father. My dad raved about him. In his last good hours, Paul gave him a beard trim and filmed a short clip of it. My dad was saying, "Show my daughter," with the biggest grin ever. He was so happy. He coded just a few hours later. The nurses, including Paul did everything possible, but couldn't save him. That video means everything to me.

Thank you, Paul, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
