When folks think of the CBOCs, they think of “PJ.” He is the go-to person to get things done. He continually displays a can-do attitude and demonstrates positive professional behavior. He has built mutual trust and dependability with his staff and all stakeholders.
 
Paul has demonstrated innovative outcomes in his practice. He strives to improve practices and focuses on effectively implementing change. He has cultivated an active, robust, interdisciplinary working Unit Practice Council (UPC) in the CBOCS.
 
Through his leadership, the UPC also implemented several morale and wellness activities which have significantly improved nursing engagement and AES [All Employee Survey] best places to work. Many staff have praised him for his care and comprehensive communication. He has worked hard to build a team culture in the CBOCs which is evident in the mutual trust and teamwork displayed.
 
Reczek also advocated for increased access to health care for rural Veterans in the Tilton CBOC area by utilizing VA Video Connect and VISN Clinical Resource Hub resources. Additionally, he was instrumental in the expansion and implementation of additional specialty services in the CBOCs, such as infectious disease, orthopedics, urology, pain, and pulmonary, being offered to Veterans.
