There were a handful of times since that day that I’ve scoured the internet trying to find you to say THANK YOU. I am so grateful to be alive so that I can thank you for your care. You have a special place in my heart and I will never ever forget you.
Good Morning Paula!! What a journey it’s been trying to find your information. I am so happy to finally make contact! In June of 2021, I had my second baby, G. You and Nurse A were on rotation. About two weeks later, I went back to the hospital for postpartum hemorrhaging. After spending one night in the ICU I was discharged to the postpartum unit and you were my angel nurse again. How grateful I was (and still am) to have had your care the second time around. Paula, you left a lasting impression on me.

I think of you as one of my guardian angels. You were so kind, gentle, warm, and compassionate. I will never forget…before I got discharged the second time around, I remember you said something to the effect of, “If you had not arrived at the hospital when you did…it would have been a very different outcome”. We had a laugh after you said, “I hope I never see you (in the hospital) again.” We both choked up and then hugged goodbye. (It still makes me teary-eyed to think about it.) I will never forget that. It was such a REAL and sobering yet beautiful moment.

There were a handful of times since that day that I’ve scoured the internet trying to find you to say THANK YOU. I am so grateful to be alive so that I can thank you for your care. You have a special place in my heart and I will never ever forget you. That day is my now “second” Birthday. Three days later was my last day at the postpartum unit and the day I left to be with both my BABIES! Please know you are SO appreciated and loved. You are phenomenal at what you do. And as my journey and story of life unfolds both you and A are a part of that story. As G gets older I’ll tell him about the two angel nurses that I met and who touched my heart.
