Paula works tirelessly to bring awareness and education to the community through the Drugs 101: What Kids and Parents Need to Know program. Paula worked with Penn State Hershey Medical Center's University Development Department to receive a $20,000 grant from the Josiah W. and Bessie H. Kline Foundation for drug abuse education in our community. To date, Drugs 101 has been offered at the medical center twice and three times in local high schools. The response from parents, school staff, students, and community partners has been overwhelmingly positive.
In sharing her personal story with others, Paula connects with students and parents and understands their pain and struggles. She is empathetic and kind, offering her support on a personal and professional level. She is always looking for new ways to spread the message and reach more families. We are privileged to call her friend and colleague!
