A patient was discharged and transported home via the Metro Van Service. The housekeeper found his wallet while she was cleaning the room and brought it to the front desk. Paula called to tell him he left it behind. Since the patient took the van home he was not able to get back to the hospital and explained this to the RN. Paula offered to take the wallet to his house when her shift ended. Nicole overheard Paula was going to a "rough" area of town and decided she didn't want her traveling alone. After working 12-hour shifts, both nurses punched out and return the wallet to the patient. they reported that he was very grateful.
