Paula Mulvey, RGN

Paula looked after my mum following the death of my brother. I am nominating Paula on my mother’s behalf. She showed exceptional empathy and patience with my mother, was quick to gain my mother’s trust, and always had time to listen to her. My mum never felt rushed with Paula; she felt prioritized and will never forget her kindness during such a difficult time. My mum felt understood by Paula, who respected her wishes and thoughts about her illness. She showed great compassion for the whole family. In summary, Paula was a breath of fresh air, a ray of sunshine and hope during a very dark time for my mum. My mum christened her ‘the lovely nurse’ and still refers to her as that today.
