Mi hija C llegó muy grave a este hospital, con un pésimo pronóstico después de haber sufrido una hemorragia cerebral. Pasaron 8 dÃas en los cuales sólo tenÃa respuesta a los sonidos, movÃa sus deditos y veces caÃan algunas lagrimas de sus ojos.
DÃa a dÃa ella fue despertando un poquito más. Un dÃa, ya sin necesidad de ventilación mecánica, la enfermera, me dijo "voy a sacar a C a pasear y quiero que nos acompañe; tenemos un jardÃn maravilloso y eso servirá de estÃmulo".
Salimos al jardÃn, nunca pensé que C lo iba a disfrutar tanto, por la condición que estaba. Allà abrió sus ojos, respiraba profundo, disfrutaba del aire, la enfermera le decÃa que abriera sus ojos y mirara la naturaleza.
C abrió sus ojos, su emoción al sentir ese contacto fue maravilloso, sin poder hablar, bastaba ver su carita. Mi llanto afloró, Paula me abrazó, me dio contención y me dijo palabras tan hermosas, vi en ella también mucha emoción y lagrimas, como si fuésemos parte de su familia.
Logré darme cuenta que no sólo es una excelente profesional, sino que tambien es una maravillosa persona capaz de dar Amor y preocupación, tanto a sus pacientes como a la familia de ellos.
English translation:
My daughter C arrived in critical condition to the hospital, with a poor prognosis after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. 8 days passed in which she only responded to the sounds, moved her fingers and sometimes some tears fell from her eyes.
Day by day she woke up a little more. One day, without the need for mechanical ventilation, the nurse told me, "I'm going to take C for a walk and I want you to accompany us; we have a wonderful garden and that will serve as a stimulus."
We went out to the garden and I never imagined C would enjoy it so much because of the condition she was in. There she opened her eyes, took a deep breath, and enjoyed the air. Paula told her to open her eyes and look at nature.
C opened her eyes, and I could feel her emotion. She was unable to speak, but it was enough to see the joy of her face. I began to cry, Paula hugged me, gave me comfort and told me such beautiful words. She was also emotional as if we were part of her family.
I managed to realize that she is not only an excellent professional but also a wonderful person, capable of giving love and concern to both her patients and their family.
