I had gone to the clinic for a routine workup, at which time I was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm and possible coronary artery disease. I was taken to the ER and admitted while waiting for an angiogram.
I was riddled with anxiety, fear, and angst. Miss Paula was my most welcoming PCU nurse. She made me feel more at ease by explaining step by step how my procedure would go, from best case scenario to worst. She made me very comfortable and confident. I almost immediately stopped shaking and freaking out.
Miss Paula was very informative and comforting; her bedside manner is beyond compare, and her professionalism is also. In my mind I thought, I hope all the patients are receiving the excellent experience I'm having.
Turned out my next shift nurse was special in her own way as well. Your nursing staff in PCU is magnificent!
