Paulette Sanchez, RN
This nurse was my first inpatient nurse after an open abdominal surgery. My husband was able to make it to see me right before 7 pm (visiting hours ending). Paulette allowed my husband to sit with me, providing me comfort. She truly was an angel meeting all the “values of action” for PLCM.
Compassion- she was pleasant and likely smiling under her mask. She listened with patience and empathy. Her comfort measures and reassurance were stellar.
Dignity- She respected my privacy by knocking as she entered and was respectful and spoke with respect, positively and clearly.
Justice- She strongly advocated for my safety and spoke with empathy, respectfully, and with clarity.
Excellence- She was thorough and performed tasks with care, she was patient.
Integrity- Explained clearly her tasks and expectations of me, the patient, and oozed “doing the right thing”.
