Paulina helped to care for one of my patients as her floor nurse. This patient has a terrible reaction to the tape at her Hickman site, derm, and wound care were consulted but at that time Paulina wasn't working or on wound service. I approached her for help with the dressing on the outpatient side. Keep in mind Paulina is the floor RN and does the wound care in addition. Paulina not only gathered all the supplies needed for her next dressing change but she also wrote a step by step instructions on how to perform the dressing change and put them in the baggie and gave it to the patient. She also then went on to email me the instructions as well so I would have them in my orders. She went above and beyond!
