May 2021 Honoree
pauline chacha, RN
Pauline Chacha reviews home medications monthly with all her patients and consistently educates them on medication administration. However, one patient had difficulty taking his medications correctly. Pauline instructed the patient to bring in a monthly pill organizer. She took the time to organize his medications by day and time. Although this was meant to be a one-time event, the patient's cognitive ability prevented him from completing the task. Pauline took on the task and has been helping the patient with his home medications every month for the past two years.
The patient started broadcasting the news to other patients stating: "Pauline takes care of my pills every month, she will do yours for you as well." As of last week, she started helping other patients.
Pauline is an extraordinary and compassionate nurse who goes above and beyond the call of duty. She is truly loved by both patients and physicians.
