Pauline's leadership style has always been incredibly supportive, which means a lot to her employees. Over the years, whether things were right or wrong, you could always count on her to be your biggest cheerleader and help you get to where you needed to be. I have grown and learned so much through her mentorship and would not have the skills I have today without her guidance. Her dedication to her department shines through as she always wants what's best for both patients and staff, often jumping in to help us when we are short-staffed or extremely busy on the unit. Her commitment to the team has never gone unnoticed; she truly deserves this award and so much more!

Pauline is by far the best manager I have worked under. She is a natural leader and encourager of those around her. She is truly “present” in the department and knows the struggles and successes of those around her. She genuinely cares about this department, its patients, and the staff who work in it.

She has come in numerous times when the department was short-staffed and busy. I have even seen her come in on overnight shifts when the department was very busy and short-staffed. She always comes out and asks how everyone is doing, and will step in too when it has been so busy the nurse is unable to even eat/drink.

Pauline is so much more than the acts of service she does for the department itself. She is such an encourager of the people around her; she makes you feel valued, and she supports what is best for you, even if it means losing you as full-time staff. She is the most genuine staff member and truly caring. I don’t know anyone else who deserves this recognition more. This doesn’t even mention all of the responsibilities that she completes that are not witnessed by her staff; she never complains.
