...I went to the emergency room and experienced wonderful service. I was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon. All of the staff I encountered, from the physicians to the people cleaning the rooms were pleasant and professional, but there is on person however who shined above all the rest. Pauline Taylor was the nurse assigned to me that day.

I'm not a religious man, but I have to admit Pauline was like an angel sent to help me during what I considered to be a most difficult time. I get terrified anytime I am admitted to the hospital. She was there assuage my fears. Even though I never called for her, she would seemingly magically appear if I coughed or moaned a little from discomfort. Because of her, I felt like I was the only patient on the floor. It's difficult to quantify exactly what Pauline did to shine above the rest, but there is that something special within her, as if nursing was her true calling in life. Her infectious smile, soothing lilt in her voice, and incredibly effective bedside manner makes her special.

Being admitted to the hospital can be a very stress-inducing event. She made my experience much less stressful. I feel fortunate to be under the watchful eye of Pauline. Homestead Hospital is fortunate to have a person like Pauline Taylor working there.
