March 2026 Honoree
Payshence Page, RN
I would like to recognize Payshence Page because she made an unforgettable impact on one of the most important and vulnerable moments of my life. From the moment she stepped into my room, she carried herself with a calm confidence and a genuine kindness that immediately put me at ease. Even though I was overwhelmed and scared, she was ready to go above and beyond from the very start.
There are many parts of my labor that I don't fully remember, but what I do remember clearly is Payshence's voice encouraging me through every contraction and every difficult moment. She never once made me feel like I was just another patient or that this was just another shift. To her, it may have been another day at work, but to me, it was the day she became the person who helped guide me through one of the hardest and most beautiful experiences of my life. Her reassurance, her gentle words, and her steady presence helped me bring my baby boy safely into the world. I will never forget that.
Due to pregnancy complications, I required a two-week stay in the hospital, which could have been overwhelming, but every time Payshence walked into my room, the energy changed. She always came in with a warm smile, a positive attitude, and a sense of comfort that made the hospital feel less like a hospital and more like a safe space. She made the environment feel lighter and helped me feel more like myself, even on the hardest days.
