The Pediatric team showed exceptional compassion towards a family last month.  While their baby was in the hospital with an illness for several weeks, the family experienced a devastating house fire. One of the family members suffered burns from the fire and their home and all of their belongings were destroyed. 

The Pediatric team, including social workers, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, health unit coordinators, and child life specialists, rallied together to support the family in any way they could. This team went above and beyond to provide resources, a gift basket, donations, and gift certificates to help the family during this very difficult time. 

At a time when parents are feeling so vulnerable and helpless when their child is in the hospital, the Pediatric team wraps their arms around families to provide the needed support, compassion, and kindness to help them get through a very challenging time in their lives. 

Our Pediatric team holds a special place in the hearts of many families in our community.
