Peggy Shen, RN

Peggy was kind-hearted and compassionate. Her empathy got me through a scary, stressful time. I was very sad and worried before my daughter, N, had a surgical procedure. Peggy gave me emotional stability to get through it. Of course, she was there to take care of N, but it was nice to know that her support was genuine for both of us. She made sure that my daughter didn’t feel embarrassed and reassured us that she was there to help. She stayed with us every step of the way until N was wheeled off to the operating room. Peggy then got me a reclining chair, heater, blanket, snacks, and drinks. She reminded me to take care of myself too. Two weeks later (still in the hospital), I still think about how much care and empathy she gave us that night. Such a sweet, compassionate nurse and I will never forget her. Thank you Peggy for your warmth and generosity during a difficult and trying time.
