Recently, I drove from Jacksonville to see my mom in the progressive unit after a week of illness and unanswered questions. When I called Peggy for an update, she was not only open and honest but, also compassionate. She advised that I come down to visit and I am so happy that I did because within minutes my mother was intubated and being transferred to a neuro ICU. I was so impressed with Peggy's diligence and she even came down to find me after her shift was over to see how things were going. As a fellow RN, I know the effort all of this took after a 12-hour shift. Thank you, Peggy, for bringing us peace and giving us confidence in a grim situation. That is what nursing is all about!
