In the everyday hustle and bustle of patient care where the focus is to move the patient through the healthcare system as quickly as possible, Peggy is a constant reminder that we must treat every component of the patient's illness: the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs. I have observed Peggy with her patients and she always has the kindest words of inspiration and takes the 'time out' to actually take CARE of her patient. She is the embodiment of what nursing is meant to be.
