My husband and I usually do a five mile walk/run in the evenings. On March 19th we were about a mile into our walk when my husband started sweating profusely, felt light-headed, and was cramping in his legs. We stopped and he sat down, but didn’t feel any better. We were on a very busy street, but I noticed someone turn on a side street and get out of their car. As she approached, she asked if we were okay. She mentioned that she was a nurse. I decided to run back to my house, get the car, and return to pick my husband up. This took about twenty minutes. Penny stayed with my husband during that time. We really appreciate Penny’s caring attitude and felt that she went above and beyond to help a stranger. When I returned, my husband mentioned that Penny worked at Baptist. Although she was not at work, I thought her kindness was a positive reflection on Baptist. Baptist is very lucky to have such a great employee.
