My father-in-law has pancreatic cancer and has frequently been a patient at Methodist. His current hospitalization was made better by a nurse who wasn't even assigned to his care. Penny came in to check on my father-in-law when his nurse was busy with other duties. Even though he was in isolation, she gowned up, came in, and helped tend to his needs for over twenty minutes! She even came back a bit later to get him up and walk. He hadn't been up in three days! She went way above and beyond, and truly cared to help him heal. If that weren't enough, an hour or so later she returned with pins to help hold his drain to his pants. Before this, he had to hold it out for all to see. She has a heart of gold and truly loves being a nurse. We will never forget her initiative and caring soul. Penny is one of a kind and Methodist should be proud to have her on their team. Thank you!
