This Equity team created Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity posters for the patients to know that we care about Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity. With so much information in the Media about the disparities and poor outcomes for our black and brown population, this team wanted to do something that would show our commitment to effective, equitable, understandable, and respectful quality care and services that are responsive to diverse cultural health beliefs and practices, preferred languages, health literacy, and other communication needs (CLAS standards). We acknowledge that marginalized populations may feel as if they are not being listened to, so the team felt it was important to demonstrate diversity in selecting different pictures and a sincere message that would represent the diverse family and family styles that we serve.
