From the first day I met Perla I instantly felt a connection with her. The interest she displayed in my condition and the true compassion she also displayed was evident that I had a jewel of a nurse. I recall one day when my wife was not in the room and I had been experiencing constant nausea and suddenly began vomiting uncontrolled. Perla was my rock. She not only provided me with a container but most important was her comforting arm around me and her compassionate comments that all would be ok. All I could think about was what a mess I had made; her main concern was my wellbeing!
