Perron is an exemplary, dedicated, and beloved nurse who I am proud to work with. She has excellent clinical skills which make patients and families feel well cared for, and she listens attentively to their every concern and responds efficiently and respectfully. She is a calming presence when situations are fraught with anxiety and she can always deliver a difficult message with great love and empathy. I always hear excellent feedback from families about how much Perron has done for them and their loved ones and how grateful they are. She is always willing to answer my questions, collaborate with me and I have learned so much from her since she has been on the team.
Perron and I have worked together on at least 2 cases where the family members were not ready to accept the terminal prognosis of their family members. Perron is always sensitive to the needs of these families to imbue hope but always being realistic in her assessments. She has a way of gently letting family members know that their loved ones are declining, without diminishing their hope or confronting them about their own assessments. I am so moved by her ability to do this. She is non-judgmental, exquisitely empathic, and fully present to the patients and their families. She is also open to working collaboratively to assist families and always responsive to their needs. I feel blessed to be able to work with her.
