Peter explained everything that was happening to me and to my family. He answered all the questions and concerns family had. He also explained everything that the doctors ordered for me, and everything they were planning on doing. When he noticed I was getting nervous, he would explain what was happening and talk to me with a lot of compassion, and concern for me. He reassured me that my chances of being okay were pretty great. When I had a test scheduled, he stayed with me until it was over, reassuring me I would be okay. They kept putting the test off while they put us in a small room. He would notice my anxiety was getting high, and he would talk to me to get my mind off my worries. Also, he would reassure me everything was going to be alright until I was calmed down. He informed me of everything they were doing to me while I was in SICU, and he would talk to me about things to keep me calm. A lot of times he would casually talk to me and my family while explaining what was happening at the same time. When his shift ended, he would explain everything to the next nurse and go out of his ways to make sure the nurse would know how to tell when I was getting nervous and my anxiety was getting high. He would inform the nurse how to calm me down. He was a very caring and compassionate nurse, and I am very grateful he was my nurse. I can never say thank you enough to him. He is a fantastic nurse.
