We are the sisters of D. We are writing this letter of compliment and nomination for outstanding nurse, Peter Prentner, RN on your nursing medical staff at Memorial Regional Medical Center because he is an outstanding nurse! We were so blessed to have Peter as our nurse, as he played a significant role in the miraculous turnaround in the patient's critical health status on this day. On Friday, just before an emergency procedure, one of D's doctors told us that D was dying when he arrived at this hospital on Monday. After several procedures and being put on a ventilator, it was then totally up to Almighty God to decide if D was going to live. We were crying and praying and appealing to Almighty God to spare D's life. From the way it looked in the natural realm, it was terrifying. BUT God sent us Peter Prentner to be his nurse on Saturday. Yes! Peter was sent to D by God "for such a time as this"! Peter executed his skill sets of knowledge, competence, and expertise in nursing that we have never seen before. He applied exceptional bedside manner and know-how that is unprecedented...and yesterday, he demonstrated all of these remarkable attributes with humble grace as if he were instructed by Almighty God himself. Peter made us feel like we were his family! Please recognize Peter and let him know that he is truly awesome and that his kindness and consideration are key assets that make him stand out and truly make a difference in D's recovery. As you may know, the person on the frontlines has the first and lasting impressions, and these attributes have the greatest impact on your patients, their families, and on other staff members. So please let Peter know that a high compliment was made on his behalf, and please recognize him in a special way for his outstanding abilities and God-given gifts in skill, hospitality, and generosity. He is wonderful, and we will never forget him!
