Petruta (Cristina) Maria, RN

Cristina is an extraordinary CNC. I want to recognize all of Cristina’s efforts I have witnessed in a little less than a year. Cristina takes the time to dedicate to patients and their family, she has a genuine compassion for taking care of people and it shows when she is with her patients. I have witnessed a few details where she went above and beyond, one where we had a long-term patient here at the hospital. Cristina made her a smoothie one day, brought in clothes for this patient, and even helped her color her hair just to make her feel better during her stay. I also witness the time Cristina takes with the staff, she takes turns doing lunches with the nurses to spend one on one time, and I overhear her often offering words of encouragement. She is the definition of a team player and is an inspiring and passionate leader.

Our charge nurse Cristina has gone above and beyond helping staff not only that she is amazing with the patients she does CNA duties she does RN duties as a charge nurse she walks around and rounds on all the patients!! Whenever I go in the patient’s room they talk about how amazing she is. She is just really a fantastic team player. I admire her work, ethnicity, and her dedication to the patients and I aspire to be like her. We had a patient who kept crying. Many nurses went into the room and couldn’t control the situation. Cristina walks into the room and I was with her and immediately changes the situation. After that, it was just such a lovely day. The lady just bounced back from whatever state she was in and resumed her day as normal.
