Peyton Conn

I had the pleasure of working with Peyton through the accelerated course this summer during her clinical rotation. There isn't one event that stands out among the rest because every day she was here, she was ready to go and was involved in whatever action was occurring on the floor. She assisted with changes, baths, IV starts, medication administration, foley removals, l&O caths, trach care, feedings (both by PEG tube and by mouth), and so much more. On our floor, we have several patients who are unable to do things for themselves, and Peyton would jump in and help in whatever way she could to assist the patients and help the families be at ease. She cared for one patient in particular who was very sick and needed bolus flushes of water through their NG tube every 2 hours. Peyton was very diligent in making sure that she was in the room checking residuals and giving the flushes on time. She has excellent time management and organizational skills. I received many compliments about her from patients and family alike. They were impressed with her entire demeanor and bedside manner. Peyton was an absolute joy to work with, and any facility would be lucky to have her in their employment. There are no words to describe the impact she had on every person she came in contact with during her short time on 4South.
