Phaedra is not only a competent nurse but also a compassionate soul. She strikes the perfect balance between a focused clinician – doing first things first and taking care of the most important priorities. At the same time, she is a coach and caregiver tending to patient and family’s psychosocial needs that are also critically important during a traumatic episode.

When we arrived on the PCU third floor from the ER, we knew immediately that Phaedra was in control and on top of things. She provided my family with clear guidance on how to keep them comfortable in a distressing situation. She was so knowledgeable about all the medications and clinical aspects of my condition. On top of that, she was very savvy and attuned to my anxiety and emotional needs. She was very accommodating and collaborative to my family who we enlisted as part of my care team to support me during my stay in the CCU.

Being under Phaedra’s attentive care all night really put me at ease and gave my family and me peace of mind. She kept checking on my comfort throughout the night. Her communications were clear and concise, and she offered tough love when appropriate to keep me calm and moving in the right direction towards renewed health.
I can’t say enough good things about Phaedra. She is personable, knowledgeable, kind, wise, tough yet soft, and adapts as needed. She is a true gift to patients, families, this hospital, and our community.
